Writing as Abbie Frost
Some readers may know me by another name – Abbie Frost. Writing under this pseudonym offers a different perspective in my storytelling, as I delve into a slightly different style and thematic approach. As Abbie, I let a different part of my creativity shine through, enabling me to explore a broader spectrum of the psychological thriller genre. Each name offers a unique voyage into suspense, allowing my readers to experience the thrilling ride from various angles. I invite you to join me on these journeys, as Chris Curran or Abbie Frost, and experience the riveting suspense firsthand.
My Inspiration
One of the most frequently asked questions is what inspires my writing. I take inspiration from my surroundings, the beautiful and enigmatic south coast of England. The rolling waves and quiet beaches create a paradoxical sense of tranquility and suspense that I strive to encapsulate in my writing. In the stories I pen, you’ll often find glimpses of these coastal elements, echoing the nuances of human emotions in the face of unpredictable circumstances. Whether it’s the character’s psychological journey or the thrill of unraveling a mystery, I find that the serenity and the constant flux of the coast mirror these elements beautifully.
The Art of Writing Thrillers
Writing psychological thrillers is a delicate balancing act of creating suspense, building complex characters, and keeping the reader engaged. I liken it to putting together a puzzle; each piece must fit perfectly to form a complete, enthralling picture. From developing characters that are multifaceted and real, to constructing plots that are as intricate as they are compelling, the challenge is immense. Yet, it is a challenge that I embrace with joy. In the thrill of the unknown and the suspense of what’s to come, I find my passion. And I hope, dear readers, that you find this same passion and thrill when you turn the pages of my books.
