I really need to learn to stop reading the status updates on my book. Why do I torture myself like that? Morbid curiosity, I suppose. But why must I be so sensitive? It's been this way my entire life. I really try my best to take things with a grain of salt and look at all reviews as positive criticism.

And honestly, for the most part, Goodreads reviews have done exactly that: Provided honest feedback and positive criticism. There are those comments and reviews however, that just hurt.

I know, I know. I'm whining. I love to write and I know my book is not for everyone. I completely understand that. Truly.

In hindsight, I wish I had written my book differently. I have even tried to edit it and re-edit and re-re-edit it to make it more enjoyable. But alas; it is what it is.

So I'm giving myself a bit of advice: STOP READING THE UPDATES and TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

But most importantly - I need to reread all of the kind words and wonderful reviews that I have received over and over again until my fragile ego is fully restored. ;)

2012 was an amazing year for me - I realized my dream of self-publishing my first novel and fulfilled my dream of writing my fantasies and sharing them with others. I honestly never expected the response I've gotten and I'm truly grateful.

Also thank you for all of the wonderful feedback regarding my work.

When I'm gloomy and there's no cheer in sight - I write.
When I'm horny and there's no dick in sight - I write.
When I'm bored to tears and there's no entertainment in sight - I write.
When all else fails - you guessed it - I WRITE!

Why? Because writing is my coping mechanism and my escape from a world that often times spins out of control and from a reality that wants to stifle my imagination. Because in my fantasy worlds, there are no limits or walls to withhold me.

My daughter, my husband and my writing keep me sane.

Well... Semi-sane anyways ;)

I'm still in The Art of D/s headspace and so I've started writing Book 3. Therefore, This Love's Not for Sale publication date has been pushed back.

At least until I can get Dylan, Isa and Sawyer out of my head ;)
