A Delight. I was transported and completely immersed in this beautiful, poignant, and charming story. The characters and the English countryside all came alive for me. I loved it. |

An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s:

Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History:
"Absolute biased garbage. Don’t waste your time. Author repeats far debunked accusations and narratives. I was hoping for a balanced behind the scenes account of a complex and historic campaign but instead it was more lies and far left propaganda masq"

“I guess that's the lesson in all of this-not to be eighty years old, looking back on your life, wondering if you made the right choice or how your life might have been different if you'd done one thing and not another.”

“I have many wonderful memories of this days we had together. It would make me happy to know that at least a few of your memories of me are good ones. I wonder if you ever think about sitting under that oak tree, with the cicadas buzzing, and, at night, the crickets. Or how the ice used to cover the blueberry bushes in the winter, giving them that dreamy look. Or how we used to sell the pies for your mother at the roadside stand.
I still think of you whenever I see blueberries.”

“Her walk-in closet greeted me with the smell of lavender. Hanging rods held Chanel suits and sale-rack department store dresses side by side. Shelves displayed sweaters of every color from peach to cranberry. I brushed my hand over a pink sweater. The cashmere was soft as a cloud.”

I'm still such a neophyte with goodreads - I just realized I had messages here on my profile! Thanks for your note. I hope you like the book. And I hope you will check out my Facebook page, as I've posted photos I've taken and some bits and pieces about my writing. Most of the photos so far are of Maine - the location of my book. They're making me long for summer in the northeast!

Thanks, Patricia! I'm so glad you like the cover. The original cover was a painting of a bakery window with a woman walking by in profile. It was really lovely but the publisher has second thoughts and decided to go with a completely different approach. I think it was a great decision as I love the new cover. I hope you will enjoy the book!
