Let's face it, who doesn't really love Disney? We got side tracked in this one, chatting away about Disney in general, but mostly we were all about their new film Encanto, even better we watched it over the Christmas holidays (burning fire, sleep-ins with no work, chocolates), so that just added to the feel good vibes!
The Madrigals seem like a cool family, living in the mountains in Colombia and using their magic willy nilly. One day we'd like to grow up to be a Madrigal, wouldn't you? 

The Dark Forest Theory, what is it and should we be worried? If aliens were really out there, what would happen? 
Rachel shares her new crumb of knowledge, and this time round Karen's not sure she's happy to hear it!

Karen and Rachel travel back to ye ole other England; the England with fancy Victorian spell makers and breakers.... and a secret society... you know what I'm talking about - it's urban fantasy time, with a period drama twist in Spellbreaker by Charlie N. Holmberg.

Today Karen and Rachel get chatting about the very popular miniseries on Netflix, The Queen's Gambit. They hold their hands up, they binge watched it. Who knew they could make chess so exciting? 
Beth Harmon (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) blazes the way as a female chess player beating all the top chess boyos while looking fabulously stylish doing it.
The two girls also remember a time when they used to know how to play chess and thought they were cool, now they don't know their rooks from their pigeons!
