Gyrus has been researching and writing about archaic consciousness, altered states, occult practices and esotericism since the early 1990s. His writings have appeared in HEAD, The Ley Hunter, Chaos International, Northern Earth, and Fortean Times. He has been involved in a host of projects, including editing and publishing the acclaimed journals Towards 2012 ("Easily the best mag I've ever seen" - Phil Hine) and Dreamflesh ("I felt EXCITED as I read. No mean feat. I truly was inspired." - Genesis Breyer P-Orridge).
