Every Day is the First Day

I got up this morning wondering what surprises the day would hold. The month is warm. It is late in the season. The leaves have not begun to turn. The heat that is summer, the clarity that is winter, have all faded into fog. Autumn has yet to fill the air with Halloween dreams. There is a haze that decorates the mornings, clings to everything, clouding the scenery with ghost-like serenity.[image
