Logging into ITL

I can't believe this. I apologize to everyone affected.

I just discovered that, for all of the recent subscriptions, PayPal is showing me one password and showing the reader a different password. So what I'm entering into the system, and what you're trying to log in with, don't match.

While I try in vain to contact PayPal and get some resolution, please spread the word. And please be patient. I'll try to fix it as soon as I can.

Again, I'm sorry. I had no idea that Paypal was doing this.

Passwords

Short version: PayPal has retroactively changed all of the passwords in the subscription system. The password you've been using is no longer the one they have on file.

As long as you remember your old password, the one you've been using, you'll be fine. The old passwords are still in the system on my website.

I've been e-mailing and calling PayPal, trying to get answers on this. Every single person I've communicated with so far has no idea what I'm talking about. They try to explain what subscriptions are and go over how passwords work. I start from the beginning and explain everything as clearly as possible, and they ask me if I'm having trouble logging into PayPal and need to reset my password.

Kind of difficult to get good customer service when the customer service representatives have no idea what the company's doing.

If you happen to forget your old password, you can either:
1.) Log into PayPal, check on your subscription, write down what your username and password are, and e-mail me so I can update the system.
2.) E-mail me with the e-mail address you use for PayPal, and I'll log in and look you up and enter you into the system and contact you with the updated info.

Kind of sad that the new subscribers won't get to enjoy passwords like goat&squat and funnel$bacon.

November 11th

WHOA.

Sweet Uncleanness turns ten today!

Dude, I had no idea. That's an actual milestone! Ten!

Man. I have to do something. Like write a story or bribe Diamond to fix up the site or something.

Anyway. SU turns 10 today. I started out with 51 stories ten years ago, and now I have two websites, three published short stories, "Living," Off the Record, and all of you.

Thank you for everything. Y'all have changed my life. Before I started this adventure, I'd never shown anyone my work, and I wrote expressly for myself. Now I want to use my work to give people an escape, to make you smile, to turn you on, to make you laugh, to share some of my ideas about life and love and romance and humanity.

Thank you for everything that you've done and all of your support. It's been a busy ten years, and a lot's changed - - I've changed - - and I'm grateful that you've been here, for any part of it.
