Reviews.
Hello lovely readers,
As I am working on a tight deadline, I am going to keep this brief, but in light of the debacle that’s occurred over the past couple of days whereby an author gleefully admits to stalking a reviewer who, gasp, didn’t like her book, and the fear I know this has put in many bloggers and reviewers, I would like to say this:
I, Michelle Smart, do solemnly swear that any person may read any of my books and review them without fear. You are entitled to your opinions on my work, just as I am entitled to my own opinions of the books I read. If you love my books then brilliant. If you hate my books then fine. Opine about it, be it positive or negative, as much as you like. Reviews are for readers not for my ego (although I freely admit my ego particularly enjoys the positive ones!). Without readers, authors have nothing.
And with that, I shall get off my soap-box and return to my writing cave J

Lovely News.
After hiding in my writing cave for what feels like forever, I'm overjoyed that my fifth Harlequin Presents / Mills & Boon Modern book has been accepted. This was a hard one to write and the revisions basically entailed rewriting the majority of it, but hopefully readers will think it worth it (fingers crossed!). It hasn't been given a title as yet, but I've been told it's scheduled for January 2015.
In other news, I've just received the cover for book number four, which releases this August. Taming The Notorious Sicilian is the third and final instalment of my Irresistible Sicilians mini-series and features the dark and dangerous Francesco Calvetti...

Kicking off the new blog!
I've finally done what I've been promising myself for months - moved my blog to my website so it's all a one-stop shop!
The past few months have been manic and utterly brilliant. First I learned that my debut Harlequin Presents/Mills & Boon Modern had won a CataRomance Reviewers' Choice Award, then a few days later discovered my April release, The Sicilian's Unexpected Duty, was RT Magazine's top Presents pick for the month. Quite frankly... WOO HOO!!!!
My fifth Presents is currently sitting on my editor's desk waiting for her to take pity on it. While I wait for her thoughts, I've made a start on number six (I suffer from Itchy-Finger Syndrome!).
Finally, I'm doing on giveaway for The Sicilian's Unexpected Duty on my Facebook page. It's running until Thursday evening UK time (the cut-off will be 8pm) and there are no geographical restrictions. To enter all you need to do is leave a comment - see, simples! If you miss the deadline then no worries - I'll be doing another giveaway for the same book on Goodreads very shortly.
