Cold as Marble, available for pre-order!

[image error]Cold as Marble, the sequel to Light as a Feather, is hitting shelves in the USA on October 8, 2019! You can pre-order a copy now on Amazon or BN.com.

I am so thrilled with the Kirkus Review!

The story is gripping and fast-paced, with sharper dialogue and plenty of hair-raising spookiness mixed with high school tomfoolery. Readers will devour the juicy occult particulars as McKenna discovers that she is a medium and teams up with friends to use a divination pendulum, phases of the moon, and other Wiccan magick to try to stop Violet.

Book Cover Reveal!

I’m a bit of a design snob, and I have to admit that I am so excited about the cover art for Cold as Marble (the sequel to Light as a Feather, hitting shelves in Fall 2019) and the new paperback cover for Light as a Feather that I literally had them printed in giant poster size to frame.

Yep, these are going up on the wall.

I also loved the cover with key art from the show, but these are so edgy and punk rock and contain so many delicious details from the book that seeing them for the first time was kind of like reading a love letter.

Find out more about Cold as Marble on Riveted, the Simon Teen blog!

Light as a Feather, at a store near you!

I am very excited and proud to announce that Book #1 in the Willow series, Light as a Feather, has been published by Simon Pulse!

The published version is a little different than the original book on Wattpad, especially the ending, which hints at a new challenge McKenna will have to solve in the second book!

The book is available in hardcover, paperback, and e-book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and at a store near you!

Whether you read it the first time on Wattpad and can’t get enough, or are new to the series because you loved the TV show, I hope you’ll join McKenna, Trey, and Mischa in battling Violet and avenging the deaths of Olivia and Candace!

Dull Colours

As I’ve blogged about before, as a student at NYU I focused my undergrad studies on animation. I was lucky enough to have the legendary Faith Hubley as my teacher, who taught me not only how to break down my story ideas into visual sequences but how to also translate my own life experiences into creative output.

One of the projects I’ve been working on (writing, developing character art) for a long time is Dull Colours, a silly animated series about new wave/Goth girls (yes, I know new wave and goth are not the same thing, just go with me, here) at a mundane high school in Indiana. They become internet famous because of their band, but are still bullied by classmates. It’s a goofy passion project in the vein of Daria that has been close to my heart for a while because it’s about the struggle of dealing with haters every day and the monotony of being trapped in high school, but also about believing in yourself and your talent when everyone around you is trying to convince you that you suck.

Someday, maybe I’ll finish the pilot! But for now, here’s the trailer:

More of my animation stuff is here.

Light as a Feather – Publication Announcement

I am SUPER EXCITED to share that the entire Light as a Feather series is being published by Simon Teen! It has been a fun walk down memory lane revisiting the original manuscripts with my awesome editor, Jessi Smith, to introduce new twists and turns to surprise you. To answer a question that I’ve been asked a few times on Wattpad by readers who first read the series on that platform, the original drafts will remain on Wattpad, and the new books will be a mix of old and new as a treat for anyone who loves the world of McKenna, Trey, Violet and Willow and can’t get enough!

Book #1 will be released on October 9, just three days before the Hulu original series Light as a Feather inspired by the book debuts on October 12! The book will be available in hardcover (!), paperback, and e-book and is

Léger comme une plume… – tome 3

At last, the third book in the Weeping Willow trilogy is available in France! I absolutely LOVE the cover art that Hachette Romans produced for this translated series, and I think our translator, Marie Furthner, did an awesome job. [image error]

In this final installment of McKenna’s quest to save Mischa’s life and end the curse that Violet Simmons has put on the kids in her town, she and Trey set out on a cross-country adventure. As they travel to California, they encounter new enemies who want to take advantage of McKenna’s paranormal talents, unravel dark secrets that have ensnared their town for eighteen years, and determine a way to outsmart the Simmons family once and for all –

– But victory over Violet comes at a high price.

Check it out here!

Maintenant, en français!

Imagine the surprise and delight of my high school French teacher to learn that Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board is now available as a YA novel in France! Published by Hachette Romans and translated by the lovely and wise Marie Furthner, “Léger comme une plume” can now be enjoyed by francophone fans of paranormal fiction!

Available now on Amazon France – and I’m guessing Babelio is like a Goodreads.com, but for French reading audiences? I’d never seen this cover before, but I kind of love it!
