Parvez Alam is a Bangladeshi writer and activist. He uses blog platforms to write on history, religion and politics and also writes for newspapers and magazines. His first book ‘Muslim jogoter gyantattik lorai’ (epoistemological battle in the Muslim world, 2011) is about the history of battle between liberal and conservative thoughts during the rise and fall of Islamic golden age of science and philosophy. His second book Shagbager Rashtroprokolpo’ (State-project of shahbag, 2014) deals with the question of secularism in Bangladesh and provides a historical narrative of Shahbag movement.
