Night Shift Series in the Spotlight

I’m excited to announce the Night Shift series has been selected to be part of Wattpad’s Paid Stories program. This means that starting in November readers will be able to support this story by using coins to unlock sections of the novel.

In preparation for the release the marketing team is revamping the covers to give them a jazzed-up style, and editorial is polishing and catching any stray typos.

Wattpad readers have given me so much love and encouragement by reading and commenting, and this program is just another way to support my writing.

For the last few years the Night Shift series has been enjoyed by a loyal following here on Wattpad, to which I will always be thankful. At this time, I feel the extra promotion provided by the Paid Stories program will help a broader range of readers discover these characters I adore.

You can add find all three books here!

ROGUE PRINCESS

Coming 21 January 2020 from Swoon Reads...

A princess fleeing an arranged marriage teams up with a snarky commoner to foil a rebel plot in B. R. Myers' Rogue Princess, a gender-swapped sci-fi YA retelling of Cinderella.Princess Delia knows her duty: She must choose a prince to marry in order to secure an alliance and save her failing planet. Yet she secretly dreams of true love, and feels there must be a better way. Determined to chart her own course, she steals a spaceship to avoid the marriage, only to discover a handsome stowaway. All Aidan wanted was to “borrow” a few palace trinkets to help him get off the planet. Okay, so maybe escaping on a royal ship wasn’t the smartest plan, but he never expected to be kidnapped by a runaway princess!Sparks fly as this headstrong princess and clever thief battle wits, but everything changes when they inadvertently uncover a rebel conspiracy that could destroy their planet forever.

This amazing cover was designed by the very talented Audrey Estok
I can't wait to share this story with everyone.

5 FREE Ways To Support Authors

1. Leave a review on Goodreads (or anywhere else).
It doesn't have to be long. You can even just say, "I loved it!"
2. Follow them on social media.
And for a bonus point say hi and let them know you really enjoyed their book. Never underestimate the power of casual encouragement. That author might receive your note on a day they decide to stop writing.
3. Do a cool Instragram pic of the book!
Say how it gave you all the good feels. Don't forget your hashtags ;)

4. Tell a friend!
Yes, word of mouth is still a thing.
5. Ask your local library to order it in!
This is awesome because it helps other people get access to the book as well. And did you know that authors get a small revenue when their books are in libraries? Yes, it's true. So order away, friends!
This is the public library in my home town of Halifax. Isn't it gorgeous!

Final Sale...finally!

To give them a future he has to take away their past...

Thrust into a new reality, Daniel desperately seeks the one person who is supposed to have all the answers, but when he finally finds the mysterious magician, he quickly realizes The Great Magnifio is nothing more than a stylish con man.
With only a letter and a handful of clues, Daniel is in a race to uncover the truth and discover a way to save Mary and the others. However, a sinister revenge is being plotted behind his back and with his own existence in the balance every action may cause his own demise. Knowing the trick spoils the magic, but Daniel is running out of hope...and time.
Publishing this final part of the Night Shift trilogy is bitter

sweet. These characters have been with me the longest, and in a
way they taught me how to write. It has always been my intent to
produce a story worthy of the inspiration they have given me.

I started writing this series in March 2009 and finished in
November of the following year. This was my first time writing
anything of this length and I fell in love with the process. The
novels went through two agents, countless editors, and many,
many, like, a lot of revisions. However, the initial thrill of visiting

Willard’s department store never lost its charm for me.

In the end, I decided to self publish the series and was extremely

fortunate to have the wonderful Penelope Jackson edit all three

books for me. She was the editor who took on my very first

published novel, Butterflies Don't Lie so I knew Daniel and the

gang would be in good hands and a good heart.
FINAL SALE is now available on Amazon in paperback and ebook.

I Am Currently...

Loving: The cooler weather at night. It was a long, hot summer my friends. Plus, there's pumpkin spice in everything these days.

Reading: Cindy Anstey's Carols and Chaos . I met Cindy a few years ago at Woozles' New Book Bash. We didn't really smash each other with our books, it's a party for local authors who released that year.
I was celebrating Asp of Ascension and Cindy was introducing us to Love, Lies and Spies
Fun Fact: I first heard about Swoon Reads from her that night. Now Cindy has a fifth book coming out from Swoon and I will have my own Swoon book published February 2020.

Watching: I'm a sucker for Scottish detective shows. I just finished the third season of Hinterland. Tip: make sure to have the caption on so you don't miss anything.

Thinking about: What to make for supper. Seriously. Every single night. Why is meal planning so hard? Please send me your 'family favourite recipes.

Anticipating: Launching Medallion of Murder , the 3rd book in the Nefertari Hughes Mystery series. This one also has a surprise at the end, my publisher has included a sneak peek at book 4, Relic of Revenge . And at the end of that book is a sneak peek at book 5, Pearl of Possession .

Wishing: That I was talented enough to knit socks. Seriously, I love hand knit socks.

Making me happy: My dog, Oscar! Every dog is a therapy dog, I say. Plus, he's my writing buddy and always keep me and my laptop company.

How about you?

Cover Reveal, Medallion of Murder a Nefertari Hughes Mystery #3

I'm sooooo excited to share this third installment of Terry's story with you guys! Medallion of Murder has been my favourite to write (and read) of all the books so far—at least until I wrote the fourth one (but that's another story).

Anywho, the book comes out September 18th (so far away, I know) but in the meantime, enjoy the sassy cover and head over to Wattpad and enter the amazing contest that's just beginning!

I'll be sharing samples of the first two books, Asp of Ascension and its sequel Diadem of Death , leading up to the release of Medallion of Murder. *mwahahaha*

Psst, do you see the pattern in the titles?

Focus! Ahem, back to the contest...All you have to do is leave a comment after any chapter and you'll be entered into a draw to WIN signed paperback copies of all three books! *gasp*

But that's not all folks, stay tuned because if you pre-order a copy of Medallion of Murder ... (squeals) well, I won't ruin the surprise, but I'll just say its another pretty sweet contest.

Right, so..

Step One, check out the awesome cover! *scroll down*

Step Two, go to Wattpad and leave a comment on Asp of Ascension here!

Step Three, add it on Goodreads here!

Step Four, share on social media for good karma!

Still struggling with nightmares from the past summer, Terry tries to bury her secret guilt and enjoy her family’s first Christmas in Devonshire. But when a murdered man is found with a postcard addressed to her, Terry fears the repercussions from that fateful night in Egypt are becoming a reality.

After she receives a coded message from Awad, Terry and her best friend Maude are thrown into the hunt for a lost medallion, an artifact that possesses a great power—and a gruesome destiny. As each clue leads to more disturbing truths (and bodies), Terry begins to suspect she’s the real target of the search. When Awad goes missing, she becomes certain the Illuminati are involved, and has no choice but to risk losing the thing she cherishes the most to get him back.

But Terry will soon discover the secrets of the tomb cannot be erased by distance or power, because the ghosts of her past are closing in quickly… and this time, they refuse to stay buried.

Congratulations! You made it to the end of this post. Please enjoy the book trailer for Diadem of Death to wet your appetite. Made by the multitalented, Tom Ryan
