A Medieval Bear a Day Week
In anticipation of Brother Hugo & the Bear's upcoming publishing date, this week I'll be posting a medieval bear a day -- just the sort of portraits that Brother Hugo might have drawn of his new friend.
First up: A monkey riding a bear, from a fifteenth-century copy of the Letters of Saint Augustine -- the very same text that Brother Hugo's bear ate!
