Nothing Waits Forever Released
I"m so happy to announce that my second book in the Florida Keys Series is finally out on Amazon.
Another clean read, yet has a little bit of spice is the story of Jon and Abby, two souls who are thrown together when Abby's dog gets caught in a trap. She manages to convince Jon to help her and the instant attraction begins.
I really enjoyed putting Abby and Jon in the middle of an adventure that stirred up the undercover world in the Florida Keys.

Nothing Waits Forever
Here's a little bit of what I am working on now.
The lust she felt for him subsided and was replaced with a deep respect. He had shown his true colors earlier when he stuck up for her. Perhaps to some, it wasn’t the right thing to do to punch out a guys lights, but to Abby she never had anyone stick up for her quite like that. She smiled to herself.
“What are you thinking about,” Jon asked, his deep voice sounded relaxed, content.
“About us.”
Jon leaned his head back and closed his eyes. “Are you always this forward?”
“I’m afraid to a fault,” Abby answered.
“I'm guessing I can’t really control that part of me.”
“It’s ok. I like that about you.”
Abby smiled. “Open your eyes Jon, check it out.” The sun was setting, it’s firey yellow rays fading as it colored the sky like an artist’s canvas. Blues and purples meshed with deep orange that bounced off the water’s reflection, creating a sky filled with brilliant colors.
He turned to her. “It’s amazing Abby. Just like you.”
She touched his hand, then took a sip of her wine. “Thank you Jon. No one has ever made me feel quite so fiercely appreciated.”
“I find that hard to believe.”
“It’s true. I was homeless, remember? The only people I’ve ever really been around are sick hopsice patients and animals. I didn’t grow up normal, didn’t go to a regular school.”
Jon sat up in his chair and leaned forward. “Abby. I’m not sure what is happening here, but if you can be so honest and open, then I must too. I really find myself attracted to you. I would like to take you out, but every time I’m near you, I can’t seem to keep my hands off of you.”
Abby laughed. “I feel the same way! I don’t know what to say because I’m a big believer in live and let live. So, I guess whatever happens, then it’s meant to happen.”
Jon sighed. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I don’t want us to be just about sex. You are a special lady.”
“What do you mean special, like retarded?”
Jon burst out in deep laughter. “Abby, sweet Abby, that’s not what I meant at all. I guess I mean that in just this short time, in less than twenty four hours, you have become some what special to me. I don’t want to take advantage of that.”
Abby blushed. She could feel the warmth on her cheeks, even if no one could see it in the darkness. “I’m thinking I feel the same way,” she admitted. “So let’s take it one step at a time. No jumping bones, not yet anyway.”
“Deal. I think you deserve to be shown how a woman should be treated Abby, and I want to be the man to show you.”

Backing up work is important
Today I learned a hard lesson. I use a program called Jutoh to write in and I usually save my work as I go along.
Guess who got so intense and focused on their writing that she forgot to hit the save button?
If you guessed me, you are so right! I went to copy and paste and lost over a half of a chapter. To a writer that can be devastating.
Perhaps it wasn't meant to be. Perhaps now I need to start fresh on that chapter with another idea.
Not sure how this will play out but hard lesson learned today. Always, always back up anything that you put to paper.....

Amazing Artist
Getting ready to reveal my cover to the second book in the Florida Keys Series. I really like the artist, Steve, as he knows exactly what I want. I only had to give him a general idea and after about two tries, he found the perfect idea to use.
I love that he can understand what I want in a cover and not just be narrow minded and choose his ideas. I feel very blessed and lucky to have found him.
