Hello Anthony,

My name is LX. I hope you do not mind if I chime in. GG is busy writing my story.

First, let me clarify something. Ever since I have called upon Earth for help and thus almost destroyed California in the process, I am being careful not to do anything that could anger her. So the shaking you mentioned? I can assure you I had nothing to do with it. I swear. Although, to be honest, it worries me that I have not felt the slightest disturbance around here and you have. You see, I am quite sensitive to Earth's mood.

Unless… Never mind. This is another strange earthling expression, is it not? You people never cease to amaze me with your funny language that always seems to mean something else than it actually says. Oh well…I should go back to my spacecraft. Please, do not tell GG about this. She will make fun of me, and I will never see the end of it.

Hey Christina, thanks for stopping by. :)

I'm glad you like it even the second time around. It means the world to me.

Idioms have always puzzled me so it was rather easy to imagine someone not from our planet having problems catching their hidden meanings. I have to admit that the first time someone told me they had butterfingers, I checked their hands expecting to see the yellow grease on them.

Sadly, I have no date set. I'm currently working on a prequel. After a few people asked me about the Daxons and the strange affection LX had for them, I thought it would be easier to write a novel/novella that would shed lights on that among a few other things.

The Legacy's last installment: Chapter two

Chapter 2

"Zulikmha?" Alex called.
I had been so engrossed in the story that his words made me jump and nearly drop the device. Ksarr differed so much from Earth. Its two suns made it look awkward even though they were hard to see behind the thick stinky smug. Eww…
"Sorry, I didn't hear you come in," I said, putting the memory cube away. "I so love this…" The words died in my mouth at the sight of t Read more of this blog post »

George R.R. Martin
“I think there are two types of writers, the architects and the gardeners. The architects plan everything ahead of time, like an architect building a house. They know how many rooms are going to be in the house, what kind of roof they're going to have, where the wires are going to run, what kind of plumbing there's going to be. They have the whole thing designed and blueprinted out before they even nail the first board up. The gardeners dig a hole, drop in a seed and water it. They kind of know what seed it is, they know if planted a fantasy seed or mystery seed or whatever. But as the plant comes up and they water it, they don't know how many branches it's going to have, they find out as it grows. And I'm much more a gardener than an architect.”
George R.R. Martin

Frank Zappa
“So many books, so little time.”
Frank Zappa

Anne Lamott
“E.L. Doctorow said once said that 'Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can see only as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.' You don't have to see where you're going, you don't have to see your destination or everything you will pass along the way. You just have to see two or three feet ahead of you. This is right up there with the best advice on writing, or life, I have ever heard.”
Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

“Housework can't kill you, but why take a chance.”

G.G. Ah thanks Andrew. It sweet of you.

I picked up yours too. Couldn't resist the huge SIA promo. :) I've got a few books on my plate though but I'll get to it. Beta reading for other authors takes a lot of my time lately but that's ok. Winter's coming and I won't have to worry about not having anything to read. :P
