It's so much better than I feared it might be. Yes, that is an odd thing to say, but you see, my fears can be active and wide-ranging. I was afraid that since much of the focus of the book is on a group of teens, the publisher might try to go the YA route. I have no problem with that genre, I just didn't want my book cover to receive the YA artistic treatment: impossibly handsome brooding kid poorly photoshopped over an unrealistic background.

So, I'll take what they gave me gladly! Yes, the cover's a bit dark and that may turn away a reader or two, who will miss out on some of the light-hearted entertainment within, but that's something I'll have to except in return for a cover I can live with.
