New Book. New Genre.
Hey everyone,
I've got some exciting news for you all, or what I hope is exciting news anyway. Since December 2016, I have been working on a new book in-between writing two contracted books, DAMIEN (Slater Brothers, #5), SHELTERED (Quick Construction, #1) and DATELESS (Collins Brothers, #1). This is a book that's been in my head for a long time, but I have never acted on writing it because it's part of a genre that I've never worked in before: Science Fiction Romance.
It got to a point where I couldn't not write it, so to get it out of my head, I started to write it. At this point, I had never planned to realise it. I guess the fear of a new genre, and worry that I couldn't do it justice plagued me in the back of my mind, and I settled for just writing the book instead. Writing books is my passion, so even if I never released it to the world, it wouldn't have bothered me because sitting down and writing it in the first place was fun for me... but then my friend read it and asked why I wasn't publishing it. My answer sounded stupid to me, so I changed that answer, and decided to go ahead and publish it.
It is titled OUT OF THE ASHES, and it will be the first book in a new Science Fiction Romance series called Maji.
In this series, humans are not the only intelligent life in the Universe—not even close. The setting will only be on a chaotic Earth—not the Earth we know in the real world—for a short time before the characters travel through Space to a new home world where they face challenges that are difficult to overcome.
OUT OF THE ASHES will be my next release, and I know that worries Slater Brothers fans, but please, don't worry. DAMIEN is coming. This book is, to me, the most important book of the entire series next to BROTHERS, and I need time to do Damien and Alannah, and their story, justice. Have patience, and know that it is coming. I'm not releasing a release date for DAMIEN until the book is finished, and in editing. I know it's annoying to not know when it will be out, but I've had issues in the past where I haven't met publication deadlines, and I do not want repeats of that happening with any of my future books so I'm never going to release dates until my books are written.
Below is the synopsis for the OUT OF THE ASHES, and very soon I will be posting the first chapter on my website for all to read so you can get a feel for it. The day I post the first chapter, I will also be revealing the cover, and posting all pre-order links for the novel.

OUT OF THE ASHES
For Nova, a twenty-three-year-old survivalist, wandering a barren wasteland was a lonely existence. But her day-to-day life was about to drastically change forever. Gone were the days when her only worries were rabid animals, augmented humans, the unforgiving scorching sun, and rogue watchmen. Now, Nova found herself faced with a new threat, and he was tall, grey, and horribly stubborn.
For Kol, a two-hundred-year-old daredevil, sailing the never-ending waves of deep space was a vast and thrilling life to lead. He had one objective on Earth—rescue as many human females as possible and return them to his home planet. It was supposed to be simple, but no one told Kol that a human female’s tongue could slice a male like a blade. His charge was short, strikingly attractive, and she talked way too much.
Nova wasn’t going to be kidnapped without putting up a fight, but Kol was more than ready to go toe to toe with her. These two species set out on a collision course that would redefine the phrase "The Big Bang" forever.

Until Harry is LIVE!
Hey everyone,
I'm typing out this post with a huge smile on my face because it is finally July 19th, which means, UNTIL HARRY is live all around the world! I've said it a million times before, but I am so stoked for you all to read this book and see a completely new side to my writing.
I love all my books, and adore each of my characters with a fierce passion, but UNTIL HARRY is a book I'm extremely proud of. I hope you all feel something after you finish reading it. My goal with this book is to make you stop, think, and look at your life, and the people in it, after you read this novel.
Maybe you'll even ring someone you love, and tell them you love them, because I know for a fact I did that multiple times while cranking the book out. No one needed more tissues than me, so keep in that mind – if you cry reading Kale and Lane's story, know that I cried more writing it. LOL
Thank you all for the ongoing support, I literally could not do this writing gig without you. You rock my socks!!
P.S: If you have Kindle Unlimited you can download UNTIL HARRY for FREE!
Happy reading!
Hugs,
Lee xox

Until Harry: Cover & Excerpt Reveal!
Hey everyone,
It's cover reveal day for my upcoming standalone novel – Until Harry. The novel releases on July 19th, 2016 which isn't too far away! I absolutely cannot wait for you all to read it, it's not like anything I have written before which is exciting as it is scary!
All my fears aside, I am so ready for you all to meet Lane and Kale.
Below are Amazon pre-order links (I'm working on getting the other links from my publisher), the cover itself, the synopsis and a small excerpt from the novel :)

Synopsis:
He was my best friend, my best not-really-big-brother, and my best protector.
He was my best everything.
He was mine.
Coming home is hard for Lane. Hard because Harry, her beloved uncle, has died suddenly, but also because of him. Kale.
Kale Hunt has been her best friend since childhood. But it was never that simple. He was Lane’s reason for leaving home and moving to New York. Seeing him with someone else, in love with someone else, shouldn’t have hurt. But it did. It really, really did. So she upped sticks and left, started a new life and cut herself off from her past.
But now she’s back, and all the feelings are right there. As if she had never left.
Emotions are running high for everyone, and tragedy has a funny way of bringing people together. But is Lane reading the signs right? Are they still just friends, or is there something more?

Excerpt:
I felt my eyes widen as his voice encircled me like a warm blanket. No matter how many years went by, I would know his voice even if it were a whisper. I slowly turned, but I froze when I saw him standing in the doorway of the parlour, leaning against the panel with his hands jammed into the front pockets of his jeans.
His eyes, my mind whispered. What’s wrong with his eyes?
There were many things that I loved about the man before me, but his eyes were by far my favourite. They were the first things I looked at whenever I saw him. There was always a mischievous glint in his whisky-coloured eyes that only I could see because I looked hard enough. It was a glint that told me his soul was alive and thriving, but what I saw now caused me to shiver.
There was no glint, gleam or light of any sort in his eyes. They were dead and reflected the clouded grey skies that often hung over York. They were as captivating as they were haunting.
Even though I moved thousands of miles away to escape him, every day for the past six years I woke up seeing those hazel eyes and fell asleep hearing that soothing voice. I couldn’t shake him whether I was half a world away or in the next room.
I lived and breathed Kale Hunt, and it was killing me.
“Kale,” I managed to whisper as I stared at the first man to ever break my heart.
He gazed at me then with no trace of emotion he robotically blinked and nodded in greeting. “Welcome home, Laney Baby."
Hugs,
Lee :)

EXCERPT
My eyes locked on the corner booth, or rather on the man in the booth.
Oh, Christ.
“Branna?” Aideen laughed. “Will you blink?”
I knew I was staring, and for the life of me I couldn’t make myself stop or at the very least look away. My libido sprung to life and had taken over full control of my body.
Pulse. Pulse. Pulse.
“Who is that?” I asked Aideen without taking my eyes away from the Greek God that was sat in the corner booth gulping down Budweiser like it was water.
“That,” Aideen wickedly grinned as she nudged me to the edge of the dance floor, “is Ryder Slater. Skull says he is from New York and that he just moved here with his younger brothers, one of his brothers – who is an identical twin by the way – is a fighter. He has fought here almost every weekend for the past few weeks, he is lethal and is only Bronagh’s age.”
I heard everything Aideen said, but my mind, and vagina, only focused on one crucial detail of her intel: Ryder Slater.
“He is gorgeous,” I gushed, unable to look away from him.
Aideen whooped over the music. “Go get him, mama.”
I felt molten heat creep up my neck. “I can’t.”
“Can’t or won’t?” Aideen asked, clicking her tongue.
I looked at my friend and frowned. “How does a woman like me talk to someone who looks like him? Because I honestly have no idea. I’ll make a tit out of meself.”
Aideen rolled her eyes and over the music she said, “Branna, will you listen to yourself? You sound like you’ve already been rejected by him, but you haven’t and you won’t, if you just be yourself. You’re stunnin’, babe, and you’re a hell of a girl, too. Lads dig that.”
I hated that my eyes welled up. “You’re so sweet to me,” I said and quickly dabbed under my eyes, careful not to ruin my eye make-up.
“We have got to get you laid,” Aideen grumbled. “And Ryder Slater will be the one to work out all of your kinks. Come with me.”
Everything happened rapidly fast then. Aideen grabbed hold of my hand and quite literally tugged me along behind her as she briskly walked off the dance floor, not caring that body after drunken body was in our way. I shouted for her to slow down, but either she couldn’t hear me over the music, or she flat out ignored me. I only shouted once because I became very self-aware that I was shite at walking in heels, and brisk walking in them could very well cause my immediate death.
When we made it through the crowd and across the dance floor I silently thanked God that I survived, but then quickly asked him to take my life when I realised where Aideen brought us to a stop. We were no more than a metre away from the very booth that the stunning Ryder Slater was sat at. He was looking down at his phone, but when he noticed we were standing next to his table staring at him, he pocketed his phone and gave us his full attention.
I stepped behind Aideen out of sheer mortification.
“Hiya,” she shouted over the music. “I’m Aideen, and this is Branna, we thought you might like some company. You look a little lost sittin’ over here on your own.”
How can she speak to him, or any man, with such confidence? I wondered. I would never be able to do that, not without looking like an utter fool in process.
I was jolted from my thoughts when Aideen turned to me, and roughly pulled me out from my hiding spot behind her. I stumbled to her side and knocked my knee against hers causing me to hiss. I resisted the urge to rub the sting away, because my attention was now on the grey eyes that were trained on me.
Oh, hell.
“Hello,” Ryder said at the exact same time the song playing changed. It allowed me to hear how deep his voice was, and how wicked his accent sounded.
I waved at him – like an idiot – and said, “Hey.”
His lip twitched and I wondered if he already thought I wasn’t worth the trouble of talking to.
“Would you like to join me?” he asked, raising his voice to be heard over the now thumping sound that filled the club.
I swallowed, and stared at him with shock.
Aideen jabbed her elbow in my side and answered for me. “She’d love to,” she gushed.
She put her small hand on the base of my spine and pushed me to the side of the booth Ryder was sitting on, and I didn’t know why, but I resisted. I suddenly felt like I was being fed to the sharks. I brought my face to Aideen’s and said, “I can’t do this, I’ll feel too idiotic to sit next to him. I don’t trust meself not to say somethin’ stupid.”
Aideen completely ignored me and turned me around to face Ryder – who hadn’t moved an inch since we arrived at the table – and nudged me forward with both of her hands. To avoid falling on top of Ryder, I had to turn on my side and drop into a sitting position next to him. I didn’t look at him out of fear I’d see amusement on his face, so instead I looked to my friend – I use that term very loosely – and tapped the empty spot next to me, but she shook her head, grinning.
I widened my eyes, and pleaded with Aideen not to leave me through my skull drilling stare.
“I’m goin’ to go and get us some drinks,” she stated. “You two get to know each other, I won’t be long.”
I gasped when she turned and almost instantly got lost in the crowd. I sat up straight and searched the crowd with my eyes in hopes I would see her, but I only saw strangers’ move their bodies to the playing music.
“Oh, my God,” I whispered.

NEW BOOKS!
Hey everyone,
Since I can't link up my website blog posts to this page, I'm going to copy and paste my posts so none of you miss out on my updates.
So as the title says, I have some new upcoming books to update you all on! Even though these projects are still a ways out, it's very exciting. First and foremost, the Collins Brothers series. As I mentioned on a blog post before, it's happening, but now the books have titles, and pages here on Goodreads, which makes them that bit more official ;)
As of right now, I don't have any release dates for the books, but I do know that the first book, TIME'S UP, will be releasing in 2017 sometime. Unlike the Slater Brothers series, these books will be written in dual POV's so you'll see inside both the brothers' heads, and their love interests. There will be five books in the series, and the titles are as follows:
Time's Up (Collins Brothers, #1) – Dante's story.
Absent Truth (Collins Brothers, #2) – Harley's story.
Poison (Collins Brothers, #3) – James's story.
By Bond, Not Blood (Collins Brothers, #4) – Skull's story.
Glow in the Dark (Collins Brothers, #5) – Gavin's story.
My second announcement is for another NEW SERIES called Luck of the Irish. The first book in this series is called SHELTERED, and some people have read a couple of chapters from this novel in an anthology last year. The first three chapters were apart of the anthology as a introdutory to the story, but now it's coming out as a full length novel. Orginally it was going to be a standalone, but there are too many loveable characters in the book, and I want to write their stories. Right now, I have six books planned, but I'll update on them accordingly.
SHELTERED will be releasing this year, in September. The exact date isn't decided yet, but it will be soon. It seems pretty far away, but September was the earliest it could be released as I've four other novels releasing before SHELTERED this year. Yep, five in total, and they are as follows:
RYDER (Slater Brothers, #4) - February 23rd, 2016
Frozen - April 19th, 2016 (Standalone)
BRANNA (Slater Brothers, #4.5) - June 7th, 2016
Until Harry - July, 2016 (Info will be releasing on this standalone SOON!)
Sheltered (Luck of the Irish, #1) - September, 2016
2016 is looking to be an incredible year for me, and I'm truly thankful to you all for it.
Hugs,
Lee :)

SHELTERED synopsis:
Shay Logan is determined, caring, and knows no limit. Her life revolves around her work, and the animals that she loves dearly. Her parents own a family run shelter for injured and neglected animals. She would do anything to protect her precious shelter, no matter the cost. Working at the shelter makes her happy… until it doesn’t.
Trace McCarty is driven. He is a stern no bullshit taker. He co-owns a construction business with his four best friends – his life revolves around deadlines and they thrill him to no end. Their latest job was meant to be a summer of scouting land and levelling it out for the new base for their expanding business. It was easy… until it wasn’t.
Shay is used to dealing with animals. Trace is used to dealing with wood. Neither of them know how to deal with one another.
When Trace’s neighbouring construction site causes problems for Shay’s beloved shelter, war is declared. Trace doesn't see the blonde pixie as a threat, but when she infiltrates his business and throws a monkey wrench into his carefully laid out plans, all bets are off.
Shay and Trace go head to head and engage in a battle of both words... and flying timber. May the best person, and business, win.
2016 is looking to be an incredible year for me, and I'm truly thankful to you all for it.
Hugs,
Lee :)
