Two weeks and counting!!!!
I’m so excited because my book THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT NIK is due out in two weeks time:
Nik Gustafsson has a secret: He’s not really Nik Gustafsson.
He’s not a spy. He’s not crazy.
He’s just the son and heir to one of the most important families in Europe—one where duty always comes first. And his posh, too-public life is suffocating him. So when he gets the chance to attend boarding school in America, pretending to be an average exchange student is too big of a temptation to pass up.
Then he literally runs into Amber on campus. And she hates him at first sight.
It’s kind of exhilarating to be hated for who he is, not for his family name or his wealth. Maybe if he turns up the charm and turns down the aloof mask he habitually wears, he can win her over. Even though a bad past experience has made her swear off dating this year.
But the more he gets to know her, the more uncomfortable he is keeping things from her. Because Nik Gustafsson has a secret. And it’s a big one.
I’ll be touring my book on various websites and I’ll keep you updated on what’s happening. It’s already up for pre-order here or if you’d like to wait until it’s out you can buy it from here

Falling for the Best Man
I’m very excited to talk about this awesome new release by Amanda Ashby. It’s the first in her Wishing Bridge Farm series.
Here’s what it’s about:
He’s the best man and her secret fling—who said being a wedding planner was easy?
What’s worse than running into your ex-hookup at the airport? When said ‘hookup” is the best man for the most important wedding of your career, and he’s on the hunt for a fake girlfriend. Between a hysterical bride and a wedding party gone wild, wedding planner Emmy Watson can’t afford any more disasters if she wants to save her beloved Wishing Bridge Farm. Which is why she puts the best man on lockdown. Unfortunately, he also happens to be the one guy who can make her forget everything except the way his kisses make her feel.
All Christopher Henderson needs is a fake girlfriend to convince his bosses that his bad boy reputation is a thing of the past so he can land his dream job. What better place to find said companion than at a wholesome vintage wedding. The only thing he didn’t count on was seeing Emmy, the woman who dumped him. The one he hasn’t been able to get off his mind.
There’s no denying the spark between them, but he’s a globetrotter and she’s a homebody, and falling in love is something neither of them has in their plans.
Check out her book tour here for a chance to win in her awesome giveaway.

Sing!!
I love going to the movies and one which I’d been hanging out to see and didn’t disappoint was Sing. Check out the movie trailer here
Loved the story. Loved the characters. Loved the animation. It’s a real feel good movie.
The cast was amazing, especially Seth MacFarlane who was awesome as Mike. A special shout out to Tori Kelly (Meena), whose rendition of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Don’t You Worry About A Thing’ was simply amazing. I’ll definitely be seeing it again.

Farewell 2016
I have to say that 2016 has emotionally been a very mixed year for me. There have been some unbelievably sad times and some exciting times also. The number of celebrities who have passed has seemed unprecedented. Too many to mention, though the ones which hit me hardest were:
David Bowie
Terry Wogan
Alan Rickman
Victoria Wood
Then at the end of February, we lost our precious Labrador, Ellie. She was just over 14 which is a good age for a Labrador. Words can’t express how hard it has been to deal with, though I sense her with us all the time.
Writing has been a good year for me. I sold my book “There’s Something About Nik” to Entangled and it’s due out on the 13th February 2017. I’m not allowed to share the cover yet, but will as soon as I have the red light. What I can say is that it’s perfect!
Another exciting thing that’s happened is that we’ve finally moved back to New Zealand, from Australia. Although I originally come from the UK, I now think of New Zealand as home. The scenery is breathtaking and the people lovely.
Finally, I’ve joined forces with Amanda Ashby to launch The Creative Author, offering a personalized coaching service to writers on their journey to publication. We’re very excited about this venture and I’ll be keeping you updated on it. Check us out on Facebook

Top 5 Reasons I Love Writing Contemporary Young Adult Romance
Entangled Teen is having a crazy sale on all the books in the Crush imprint, including mine Falling for the Wrong Guy. From 26 September to 2 October all Crush books are going to be 99 cents!!! Seems a great time to get some fabulous books.
To tie in with this promotion I’m writing a post on the top 5 reasons why I love writing contemporary young adult romance, so here goes….. pinning it down to only 5 wasn’t easy
I love writing about the emotional turbulence being a teen involves. Relationships, friendships, traumatic events. It’s such a crazy time. It’s fun to watch my characters navigate these emotions and come out the other side having grown as individuals.
It’s fun revisiting my teen years through my characters. The emotions they experience are ones I’ve been through myself. I have to make sure not to be judgemental and to remember that they don’t have the benefit of hindsight, that I now have.
I love engaging with teen readers. They’re much more likely to engage with me as an author than adult readers do. Also, they tell it like it is. If they love and can relate to one of my stories they will say, without holding anything back. If they don’t like something, they’ll also say.
I love reading contemporary young adult romance. They are some of my favourite reads. I’m firmly of the belief that you should write what you love to read. So writing young adult books was a no-brainer.
I love that my books can help teens if they’re facing a difficult situation. If I can help just one reader deal with something, whether it’s to do with relationships, friendships or family then it makes writing really worthwhile.

By Ebony McKenna

As long as she remembers all the lies she’s told, everything is going to work out for the best – not just for Bianca but her whole family.
But when she teams up with the school nerd, Malcolm – because physics homework isn’t going to write itself – her carefully crafted stories start wobbling like spinning plates on bamboo poles. Malcolm is trustworthy and endearing, and seriously cute in an über geek way. Bianca is torn between protecting those she loves and unburdening her reality to someone she can trust.
They say honesty is the best policy, but if Bianca tells the truth, it will put everyone she loves at risk.

Sophia Grey……………………. His Temporary Fix
I’m very excited to be hosting Sophia Grey on my blog today. Sophia’s latest novella HIS TEMPORARY FIX, published by Entangled Select, has just released.
Here’s the skinny:
Holly Jacobs loses her heart a little too easily. Never again. But when she meets the sexy soldier on the beach, Holly knows she’s in big trouble. Zack Winter is gorgeous and in pain, and when he kisses Holly, all of her resolve melts away…
Zack is on short-term leave to attend a funeral, and he’s walking a fine line. The loss is unbearable…and he’ll do whatever it takes to distract himself from it. Especially if it means a night of searingly-hot sex with Holly Jacobs. Only his brilliant idea isn’t exactly going according to plan.
One night isn’t nearly enough. But if it goes much longer it might end in broken hearts…
Check out this awesome trailer
Read the first chapter here
What reviewers are saying about His Temporary Fix:
“One sentence in and these characters drew me into their world, and had me hanging on every word. Their touching story captured my heart.” Misty
“This was a very enjoyable quick read. ” – Betty
“I do love reading novella’s for a quick fix, a quick pick-me-up, in between long novels. When they can pack emotion, connection with the characters, a great plot and storyline into less than 120 pages, well, that leaves me very satisfied and wanting to read more by the author. His Temporary Fix gave me all that and then some. ” Lee
Author Bio:
Romance author Sofia Grey spends her days managing projects in the corporate world and her nights hanging out with wolf shifters and alpha males. She devours pretty much anything in the fiction line, but she prefers her romances to be hot, and her heroes to have hidden depths. When writing, she enjoys peeling back the layers to expose her characters’ flaws and always makes them work hard for their happy endings.
GIVEAWAY
For a chance to win any ebook from Sofia’s backlist AND a swag bundle, leave your details in this Google form. One name will be drawn on the 31st October, and yes, she will send swag worldwide

Falling for the Wrong Guy!!
My latest YA book is out now. It features Ruby who is faced with an impossible situation, choosing between her family and the guy she loves. And Drew, who betrayed his best friend and believes he should be punished for life.
Here’s the skinny:
She had no right to want him. And no way to resist…
Ruby Davis has a crush on her brother’s best friend. At least, he was his bestie until the big betrayal. Now Drew is off limits to everyone, especially Ruby. She can’t stand the way people treat him, or the way he feels about himself. It isn’t right. And those deep green eyes are calling to her.
Drew is scarred and damaged, and he has no business even looking at Ruby. But he can’t help himself. She’s beautiful, but he does his best to stay away. When they are assigned a school project, they become reluctant friends – even though they want so much more.
She’s torn between her feelings for Drew and loyalty to her brother. There’s no way they can ever be together…but love just might find a way
There have been some amazing reviews for it:
“It’s an absolutely beautiful coming of age story with a heart warming romance. If it doesn’t move you, then your heart is made of icy stone.” Painted Words Reviews
“Such a great story about healing wounds and forgetting the past. There were parts that just wrenched my heart from my chest, and I felt like crying. Only the best books can do that to me, and this book is that great. Also, is the cover not the cutest?!” Hadassah Harper
