Blurb, Giveaway and More!

Thank you to everyone who entered the Goodreads giveaway! I have received the names of the winners and I will ship the books out tomorrow.

It’s been a busy few weeks. My kids returned to school. Half of my backyard palo verde tree fell over during a dust storm. Most importantly, I’ve been spending every possible moment locked in the writing cave (aka my bedroom) working on Risk, the second book in the Gentry Boys series. It’s Creed’s story and he is proving to be every bit the piece of work I thought he would be. That boy simply refuses to cooperate with my carefully crafted plot outlines. I love him like crazy anyway. I hope you will too.

I’ll keep updating over the next few weeks and try to figure out how to pull off some Teasers That Don’t Suck, considering my graphic skills are rather lackluster.

In the meantime, here is the tentative blurb for Risk (Gentry Boys #2):

“I’d seen enough of Creedence Gentry to know he might be the worst thing I could do. Yet one lustful glance from him scrambled every piece of sanity I owned.”

TRULY…
My life hasn’t been uneventful and a few things should have sunk in by now. I’m a tired age twenty one with a laundry list of heartbreaks. Most of all, I know what carnage comes from carelessly risking the heart. So what drives me to jump into bed with a brooding player who can barely carry a conversation?

It was supposed to be just one night.

One night of weakness, of passion, of every impulse I’d struggled to contain.

Yet I can’t stop myself from going back for more.

CREED…
Violence had always found us Gentrys but this time I’d put the price on my own head. It was my cross to bear. No flinching allowed.

There was only room for me, my brothers, and the resolve to survive. That’s all there ever had been.

There was certainly no reason for more than than a quick and dirty time with any girl, no matter how much she turned my head around.

I shouldn’t hold on to her for more than a few hours. I shouldn’t even think about it. This thing could finish us both.

It doesn’t matter. She’s all I want.

FIRST!

I’m doing it. I’m blogging! Can you see me??

Today got off to an upsetting start when I discovered my Kindle was missing.
I ranted.
I cried.
I accused.
I disallowed access to the Xbox and everything else amusing until it was located.
Want to know where I found it?
Outside in the back patio garden box. With the spiders and the scorpions.
It was terrified but grateful to be alive. No one in the household has admitted putting it there although I could see from the collective glints in their devious eyes that my distress was quite comical to them.
Tonight, my sweet, darling Kindle, you will be stowed securely under my pillow. (By the way, my pillow is a gigantic stuffed bunny. Yes, that is true. Yes, it is weird.)

In other news…even though it is midsummer, a whirlwind of trips to the pool and noisy play dates, I’m making progress on my new series, The Gentry Boys. It’s actually a story I began years and years ago, when I could stay awake past eleven pm and was six sizes smaller. It is true that I’ve gotten sidetracked with this project when I meant to finish the sequel to Reckless Point, but I am just in sick love with these guys and I literally can’t put them away. I hope to have the first one out by the end of the month.
Stay tuned for some raw excerpts. :)
