A bit more on 'Blink!'

Hello fellow readers,

Blink! is my second work of fiction and is now available in Kindle. If you're a subscriber of Kindle Unlimited, you can read it for free!

It took me a little more than an year to complete this book.

What did I do?

While it was tricky business to imagine the state of things in 2037, I took the liberty to indulge in creative imagination and work out how the landscape would appear in the future. Electric Tricycles, recurrent episodes of El Nino and La Nina, dedicated biking lanes, 5G video calls, Cicret et al.

I had to also research the entire landscape of Urbana in the Champaign County - Illinois, as quite a major part of the narrative is based in this city.

Despite fiction, it was important to get certain details right. This research helped enhance the authenticity of the narrative, more so because the protagonists were based in the USA.

Why 'Blink!'?

One of the main protagonists is led to take a decision on impulse. And from thereon, the subsequent narrative happens because of that particular decision of sacrificing immense love for someone, for the greater good.

Seldom do people take life changing decisions impulsively. But when they do so, repercussions are inevitable for people who love you and are emotionally dependent on you. That's what Blink! is all about.

What are the underlying themes in Blink!?

Friendship, Love, Caste based eccentricities, Betrayal, Crime, Greed and a Fujita F5 Scale Tornado that brings together the important protagonists.

What is the scale of narrative?

A period of over three decades spanning across continents, with over twenty four characters, some of whom manage to experience unscathed a Fujita F5 scale Tornado that cuts through Urbana and brings an entire community to its knees.

If all this sounds mind boggling, then you're mistaken. I would rather have you read Blink! and find out for yourself.

I hope you enjoy reading Blink! I await your feedback and would love to have you rate and review Blink! on Amazon and Goodreads.

Happy reading!

Cheers,
