Soul Mates
Do soul mates really exist?
I would like to know what the general consensus is. Do you believe that soul mates really exist? We are each guilty, no one more so than I, of reading romance novels and getting carried away with the notion of a deep and powerful connection between two characters, but I wonder, does it really exist in the real world? Are we lucky enough to find our true love, the Yang to our Yin? Or are books the closest we will come to experiencing an all-consuming love for another being? Please let me know what you think? I know my main protagonist, Ava Hart, has a change of heart in my new book Desire. There are so many sites offering advice on ‘How to Spot Your Soul Mate’ and ‘Know When You Have Found Your Soul Mate.’ I’m just wondering, are we setting ourselves and our daughters up for a fall? Or do we need something to hope for?

Secular view:
Soulmates are the result of a deep connection that develops between two people because they have similar minds.
Spiritual view:
There is a design to the universe and soulmates are a necessary part of the meaning and purpose of existence.
