Going to Paris!
The news this week is a little more exciting than usual, I'm going to Paris in July! My rationalization for this is the 40th anniversary of the death of Jim Morrison and I figured I could cover it for The Doors Examiner. Besides covering the main events I've lined up a couple of interviews, there's a play opening in London based on the poetry of Jim Morrison so I may hope into the Chunnel and see it. Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger are playing in Paris that weekend, and while they turned me down for an interview and I'll get a review of them. A Doors Tribute band is also playing so there may be some coverage of that.
I'm also lining up a book signing of The Last Stage, while I've had no confirmations as of yet I've queried Shakespeare and Co. a fairly famous bookstore. It's also been suggested I sell the books at a souvenir outstand just outside of Pere LaChaise cemetary so we'll see what shakes out!!!
I almost forgot. To finance the trip (a little)I get paid by the number of subscribers for The Doors Examiner, so if you've been meaning to subscribe to The Doors but have been putting it off today is a good day to! If you know any Doors fans/friends/family send them the link to The Doors Examiner and tell them to subscribe! www.examiner.com/the-doors-in-nationa...
And/or if you've been putting off buying that copy of The Last Stage it's available from the publisher at www.jymsbooks.com (also tell those Doors fans/freinds/family abt The Last Stage)
In less international news, I've been asked to do an interview with a website called Alternative Reel (www.alternativereel.com), that will be coming up in a couple of weeks.
The publisher of The Last Stage has seen the future and it includes e-books, so they're converting The Last Stage, Becoming Angel, and Stranger Souls to ebook format that has been promised to be compatible with all ebook formats especially Kindle. They haven't given me a date as to when the e-books will be ready for sale, but I did send in my info the first morning so hopefully my books will some of the first ready, and as soon as they are I'll let you guys know.
My friends at The Mystic Rock Boutique are really expanding into jewelry so check them out! http://www.mysticrock.net/
Have a rocking weekend everybody! Talk to you soon!
