Mimosa was reissued recently as a Single Shot Classic.  It was my first story with Torquere.  I was ambitious with how I wrote it --  and, boy, it was hard work!  A. B. Gayle  recently reviewed the reissue and I think hit on what I was trying to do very accurately and fairly!
