Hey folks, This is the first of what may be a at least a few more blog entries here at goodreads.com. To begin with I will introduce myself and following this introduction I will provide you with bit of a writing audition; a sample from one of my novels.

Intro:
I am Basil Sands of Anchorage Alaska, the one and only person in that city with that name. I wear it with pride. My father is the only other Basil Sands in the state of Alaska and his father makes the third with that name I know, but he's already crossed the river and awaits us in that blessed land. To my knowledge, according to Google, there are only 4 other Basil Sands in the world. Three are all in the Bahamas, also a Grandfather/Father/Son combo. I'm not related to them but kinda wish I were as the Patriarch is a rather wealthy banking magnate and diplomat. The fourth Basil Sands is a boxer, and apparently quite new at it as the only info on the web about him is that he is 0 & 2, with two KO's...that is he got knocked cold in both of his only two pro fights. Yikes.

At any rate, presently I am like most super heroes a nerdy IT guy by day and a crime fighting master of disguise by night. Okay, I'm actually just a nerdy IT guy all the time, but one that sits in an easy chair at night making up stories about heroes. Gotta dream though right?
