Growth of a Child with Horlicks Growth+
My nephew who is just 5 years old is always fond of junk foods like chips and pizza. Whenever we go to shop, the first thing he would notice would be biscuit packets. We all will request him to have fruit juice, but he will prefer only cool drinks like Pepsi or Coke. How much ever we try to educate him or convince him, he would start crying and will not bother to stop crying until he gets what he wants. Secondly, I never saw him playing outside with kids. He would be mostly occupied playing video games inside the home.
Last week, we went for outing and we had to walk for 1 km. As soon as he walked for 250 meters, he started screaming that he cannot walk. It was very shocking to realize that he could not walk even for 1 kilometers. We had to have outside food that night and he got food poison the next day. Very often, he used to fall sick and take leave to school.
What’s the reason behind it? Is it because his resistant power so low? Is it because he never played outside? Is it because he was not involved in any of the activities that will increase his stamina? Or is it because he used to have only junk foods?
Whatever the reason may be. Falling sick or getting pain in leg for just walking 1 kilometer is not good and that too at this early stage. That night, my sister also was completely immersed in thoughts about how to make him healthy and fit. Her main concern was, she could not make him eat vegetables or healthy items. She was a perfect mother and every day she would stuff the lunch box with sprouts, vegetables and fruits. But it will return as it is in the evening. Being healthy is the most important thing any parents would wish for. But unfortunately, we don’t realize the value of health at the very early stage.
One more reason was found while I was discussing with my sister. When my nephew was pregnant she took a break from work only for 3 months. She was able to be with her son only for 3 months. After 3 months, she stopped mother feeding. Mother feeding is very much important as it contains lot of proteins which helps the child to fight against any virus or bacteria.
Okay! Happened is happened. Now, it’s my family sole responsibility to offer the child with strength in order to fight both physically and mentally. Fortunately, the strength of the children can be identified by one or the other ways. Proper nutrients and proteins should be provided in order to attain the desirable height and weight at each stage. Also, its advisable to eat the vitamin or calcium and iron tablets suggested by doctors at the time of pregnancy.
The school van for my nephew comes around 7.15AM and it’s really hard to make him eat healthy food in the morning time. In this case, offer tasty supplementary items which contains protein  and nutrition that are produced solely for children’s by the pediatric experts. Drinking milk and nutritious food every day is a must for the growth of the child.
