Groundhog Day...
Happy Groundhog Day everyone!
It looks like our local groundhog, Princess Sandy from Port Stanley, didn't see her shadow this morning and according to the experts it means we should see an early spring this year.
To top it off Staten Island Chuck didn't see his shadow either and since his accuracy rate is around 80% I think we can say good riddance to old man winter!
In spite of these optimistic signs I'm still keeping my fingers and toes crossed for that early spring...we’re counting on you Chuck and Sandy!

Queen Charlotte, here in Charlotte, N.C., saw her shadow yesterday...oh, well. Hope she's wrong.
Ie, they woke up on the right side of the dirt. I've internalized that and as a benefit, I now enjoy all the seasons, tho' I confess a winter or two back when I was shoveling wet snow in 5 Fahrenheit temps...my two block driveway and my elderly neighbor's one block driveway...I had to REACH for that enjoyment.
Besides, Imbolc was this week, so it's ALREADY spring :-P
(and I can hardly wait for the next Immortals After Dark...I love those characters, that world, and the mind that could create it)
