It’s Just Phone Sex But I’m Always Going To Take It Too Far.

It’s hard to keep a good secret, isn’t it? It’s even harder to keep a bad secret. I don’t want to say I bit off more than I could chew or didn’t think it was the right time for another Lake Cliff book but I had to make sure I could pull it off. A sixth book is daunting because there’s expectation and you have to justify a SIXTH book. Especially after you’ve killed Aiden Sharp more than a dozen times and blown up half of Lake Cliff. What do you add to keep it fresh? The answer and the secret weapon was Reginald. I wasn’t sure what to do with Reginald. He has all this wicked potential and he’s too terrible to keep to myself. After Aiden and another Lake Cliff book, Reginald was the most requested character from readers. I decided to set him loose on Lake Cliff. Readers were also curious about Paul and wondered if he was the man who could finally catch Reginald and keep him. I won’t give too much more away but they get off to a very good start…

“Thank God that’s over,” Paul said as he tugged his tie loose and toed off his shoes. He’d take a long, hot shower and turn in early. His flight didn’t leave until a little after noon so he could sleep in. “It’s going to be so wild,” he murmured to himself sarcastically as he reached for the room service menu. The food was one of the advantages to staying in better hotels. He was still terrified of bedbugs and inspected every room carefully before he touched anything but he was eating better since he stopped sleeping in his car. His phone vibrated and his pulse raced as he reached into his pocket. The screen was blank and he immediately shrugged out of his coat as the room became too warm. He swiped at the screen and grinned at the window as he held the phone to his ear. “Three times in one week, I think you might have a crush on me,” he teased as he crossed the room and a warm, silky laugh made the hairs on the back of his neck stand.

“This is so much more than a crush,” he said. After weeks of flirting, taunting, confessing, coming and occasionally arguing, Paul still didn’t know his name. He tossed his tie at the bed and unbuttoned his shirt then pressed his forearm against the window and leaned.

“What are you doing?” Paul asked and there was a deep rumbling moan.

“Thinking about you,” he said and Paul bit his lip as heat and pressure swirled in his groin. He heard a disgruntled grunt and there was some shushing. “You’re doing a fabulous job, keep going,” he insisted and Paul’s head pulled back and he glared at his phone.

“Are you with someone right now?” He accused then waited through several seconds of silence.

“I was thinking about you and I thought hearing your voice might heighten things,” he explained and Paul’s face twisted.

“Why are you like this?” He asked and there was a snort.

“I’m sorry. Were we not supposed to be having sex while talking to each other? I’m afraid I’ve broken that rule quite a few times,” he admitted.

“Seriously. Why?” Paul hated himself for straining to hear if his breathing was a little more labored or if he could hear the other person.

“Please. It’s not like we’re exclusive. In fact, I enjoyed watching you with your young basketball player last night. It was so hot until you closed the curtains,” he scolded and Paul shook his head.

“I didn’t mean for you to see that much,” he said and there was another heavy, sensual purr.

“I know but I almost came when you looked at the window and remembered I might be watching. You wanted to leave the curtains open,” he said and Paul shook his head again.

“I’m an old fashioned kind of guy. You’ve got to take me out to dinner and walk me home before I let you watch me bag college seniors off Grindr.”

“Are you sure?” He said then hummed. Paul’s cock throbbed as he rested his forehead on the glass and held his breath. He didn’t want to miss a single sound. “Leave the curtains open next time,” he urged.

“I don’t think so,” Paul murmured and there was a weak, groaning whimper.

“But it would be so hot,” he argued and it came out as a bit of a pant at the end. This is so hot. God, my dick hurts. “Let me see it,” he begged and Paul swore as he turned so his back fell against the window.

“Why can’t we just meet and go on a normal date or Skype and masturbate like regular adults?” He complained. It didn’t stop him from tugging his belt free and plucking the button on his pants open.

“Do it against the window next time but watch the glass so I can see your eyes,” he said and Paul hissed as he winced.

“That would be so wrong,” he said as he pulled his hard-on from his boxers then turned and faced the glass.

“It would be wrong. But also incredibly hot. Good Lord, your cock is stunning,” he said and Paul’s lips tilted wryly as his cheeks became warm.

“You keep saying that but you won’t meet me,” he pointed out.

“Soon, I think. Stroke your cock. I’m so close and I want you to come with me, Paul,” he said and Paul groaned as his fist tightened around his shaft. He had no self-control with him. He jerked off, fingered himself and came sitting and standing in front of windows so many times over the last several weeks. Paul couldn’t help himself. The pictures and the videos he sent were gloriously sexy. He’d seen every part of him except his eyes (they were always blurred or blacked out) and watched him come in so many different ways. Paul was tired of imagining what it would be like and pretending other men were him.

“I want you,” Paul breathed as pressure gripped his sack and swelled into the base of his erection.

“I know,” he sighed then pulled in a shuddering breath. “Oh, fuck… Sloan,” he moaned and bright heat pulsed in Paul’s groin as his head snapped back.

“Jesus!” He gasped as he stumbled back a step then jerked as cum burst from the head of his cock and splashed onto the glass.

“Mmmm… I bet that tastes divine,” he murmured then cleared his throat. “I’m sorry, I should clean up and pay attention to my company,” he said. His tone was dry and bored and Paul’s nose wrinkled. It was getting less hot as he stared at his softening cock as it rested in his hand. “Oh, I almost forgot. It looks like you’re turning the case over to the locals. I assume they found the gun,” he said and Paul nodded.

“They found it and I’m on my way back to D.C. tomorrow,” he said.

“Wonderful. I’ll talk to you soon,” he purred before the line went silent and Paul frowned as he looked at the phone.

“Remember how you wanted to find a man with a mustache, buy a four bedroom colonial in Bethesda and adopt a few cats?” He scolded himself as he tossed his phone on the bed. “At least find someone in the same state. Or limit it to the same coast, for fuck’s sake.”
