Eve Langlais Reads Close Encounters

One of the great things about participating in groups like "In the Stars" is interacting with other authors, including those who are the literary equivalent of rock stars for me. One of those authors is Eve Langlais.

I'm a huge paranormal romance fan, and Eve's books are among those at the top of my 1-click list. I actually got to meet Eve in person at last year's RT Booklover's Convention in Atlanta, and it's kind of a funny story.

You see, I was in the hallway, waiting for a workshop to start and shooting the breeze with a few people. I didn't find out until afterwards that I was talking to one of my favorite writers. It went something like this:

My friend: "So, what's she like?"
Me: "Who?"
My friend: "Eve Langlais."
Me: "OMG. She's here? Where?"
My friend: "The lady you were just laughing with. That was Eve Langlais."
Me: "Get outta town! Oh, God. I didn't say anything too moronic, did I?"

My friend never did answer that question, but I must not have made TOO bad an impression because this month, Eve offered to do a short video of her reading an excerpt from Close Encounters of the Sexy Kind: An In the Stars Romance to help share the love. In return, Jessie Lane and I each made a short video of us reading excerpts from Eve's In the Stars romance, First Mate's Accidental Wife, which released on April 10th.

Gwynn I hadn't read anything by Abbie in so longgggg, I re-read the entire Callahan Brother series all over again, and enjoyed it just as much as when I read them the first time.

I hope you like it! It's something different for me; I've never written a sci-fi romance before.

I love to hear that! The Callaghans are by and far my most popular series. I've been working continuing in their world with the Callaghan Family & Friends stories. Two of a Kind was released in March, and the next book - Brian McCain's story - is in progress now to be available in the fall.
