So right when my new book came out, I was having a lot of nightmares! I would wake up so scared, screaming out to my husband. I was afraid to take a nap during the day because I was afraid those horrid images and dark pictures would come back into my head.

Finally, I had enough!... and during my prayer time, I prayed that God take away those nightmares and since then I've been having very pleasant dreams, so good I don't want to wake up!

One word to pass along to you today: Are you having issues or problems with something? Definitely pray about it! Watch God move on your behalf as He works in your favor and over your situation!

But let's talk about something I always deal with on a daily basis: Day-Mares!

I am always thinking about the future and I often get scared of what my mind creates! : When I get back to work, will I get fired? ... What if I can't make it? I should just give up…. Will my marriage be able to stand firm years from now?... Am I just wasting my effort and energy for something meaningless?.... no one cares.

On and on my thoughts play out and if I allow it, I can sink my way into a black hole of darkness and mayhem, a mental place very difficult to get out of!

When you are also stuck in a Day-Mare, remember these verses:

"Don't fear, because I am with you; don't be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will surely help you; I will hold you with my righteous strong hand." - Isaiah 41:10

"But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind." - James 1:6


And what helps me from those thoughts circling around me is the truth that God is helping me today and He is here, so thus He is going to help me in the future and be there with me in the future, too. He won't leave me and I don't have to face my problems alone!

Sometimes I acknowledge the future without Him in it! I need to remember: God will still be right there when I need him, even in the future! That stops the scary thoughts and I can "wake up" into the reality of God's truth and start to be very thankful in that moment of peace!
