NYRPSpring Picnic 2018

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for

Supporting Spring Picnic!

New York Restoration Project would like to thank each and every person who came out to Spring Picnic last night from the very bottom of our hearts – it truly was a magical evening!

None of our work is possible without you – our supporters!

NYRP extends a special thanks to our honorees, Diane and Clyde Brownstone and Todd DeGarmo, for their extraordinary vision and commitment to ensuring that nature is a fundamental right of every New Yorker.

Debbie Harry, the lead singer for Blondie, captured the evening at Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem with beautiful sing-a-longs, including L.O.V.E. and That’s Amore, which the crowd delightfully participated in along with NYRP’s incredible founder Bette Midler. Leimay, a unique dance troupe from Brooklyn, kicked off the the night in the Rodale Pleasant Park and Tiffany Community Gardens where cocktails were served as guests looked on. Inside the tent, the John Pizzarelli Quartet and the Harlem Wizards entertained party-goers with live music, basketball tricks, and laughs all around.

“Your generosity enables NYRP to turn barren concrete lots into lush green open space, giving tens of thousands of children a place to spend time with family, learn that tomatoes don’t grow on trees, touch worms, meet neighbors, and have some peace,” said NYRP Executive Director Deborah Marton.

Thank you for all your support!
