May Read 2018: Seven Books I read in May
Hey there. How have you been? I apologize, been busy lately. But hey, I am back with my list of books I read in the month of May. By the way, did you guys read any of the books I listed in the last blog? Do let me know your point of view.
Wonder by J Palacio. 3 stars
I read this book recommendation by one of my friend. It is about a boy who was born with a facial difference. You can already imagine the problems and the misfit life he leads. But as the August flower, he has the heart of confidence and he wins heart with smiles. A easy and simple life it is, he portrays. A view of the world through different eye.
South of the boarder, West of the sun by Haruki Murakami.3 stars
I loved the first few books I read of his. But few recents books that I read of his, I feel like I have been reading it in a wrong way. He is not a bad writer, he has marvelous way of making confusion and doubt sound beautiful. Do let me know your thoughts on it.
Me before you by Jojo Moyes.3 stars
I literally have listed this book under my should-read list for nearly two years and finally I was in the mood. In less time some people make you feel whole tornado of life compared to the ones who have entered into your life quite a long time back. Some people are bought into your life to give you a whole different idea about how wrongly you thought of yourself. Me before you, shares a story on the same theory. Truly, Love makes this world beautiful.
After You by Jojo Moyes. 3 stars
After You is the sequence of “Me Before You”. Basically in this chapter Louisa is collecting her life after death of Will, the man she loved. As promised to him she is looking forward to create memories and build a life.
This chapter is boring as compared to first chapter. I personally think this chapter wasn’t necessary needed but it’s author’s choice on how she chooses to continue. This part is a bit monotonous.
All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda.2 stars
This book is somewhat similar to Pretty little Lairs. Have you watched the series? In one line, this book is about “People who leave are supposed to come back.”
Be Careful what you wish for by Jeffery Archer. 3 stars
This book the fourth sequence of “the Clifton Chronicles”. I read this book on recommendation, which is why I haven’t read the previous series. The story is about rivalry that gets better with pages. The stars I have rated are truly on the twists and turns of the plot in the book.
After Dark by Haruki Murakami.1 stars
Honestly, I feel like I am reading his books in a wrong way. There must be something he is trying to convey but I might be not good enough to grasp it. The books I have been reading lately of his gives me these kinds of feelings.
Please do let me know what your favorites are. Recommend me some. Do leave your queries and comments on how you like the monthly read I post.
Thank you.
