Moony Eliver Hi Jane - not sure if I'm looking in the wrong spot, but this link takes me to Room at the Top instead?

Ack, it's not ready yet and I did the wrong link. Damn . Sorry. It will be there soon!

Moony Eliver No worries, thank you!

Anna Goerlitz huh? I love this series, why is it on AO3 now? I mean, that's very generous, but ...

Yes; LI closing really left us flailing around. But the worst option was having the books vanish and tbh, our royalties were so low it didn't represent much of a loss. The market is saturated, the books were on pirate sites the day of publication and I was earning about 5k a year over three/four publishers. I mean, I'd rather have 5k than not, but that was with a publisher doing the covers/promo/sales. If we did it ourselves...

Anna Goerlitz oh wow... I'm so sorry, especially about the pirate sites... but thanks. I love this series - and own the LI copies - so even if I'm not going to download it, I'll try and remember that's where they are now, when I rec it.

Thanks for the explanation.

Thank you! We have one unpublished book; the sequel to Turn Up the Heat, and that we might try to get something on, but the rest, well, it's been a good 12 years and we want to make sure the books remain available.

Goodreads needs a "like" button for comments the way Facebook has. LOL

R I'm sorry you're not able to keep benefiting from your creativity & hard work--shady publishers & low-lifes who pirate have a helluva lot to answer for. Don't know what a solution might be but I hope someone has a brain flash soon....

Meanwhile, thanks for your generosity! It certainly makes AO3 a richer & more fun place. :-)))

I used to get angry and sad but now I shrug and treasure the readers who deal honestly with authors.
This giveaway is our way of saying thanks for over a decade of support.
