The blog has been having a pretty long holiday, some might say a mid-life crisis. Partly this is down to pressure of writing life, and partly to laziness. But it's back; there will be regular new posts. More importantly I have a new book out in October - Accursed Tower - the story of the crusaders' last stand in the Holy Land. A tale of giant catapults and the desperate defence of the city of Acre on the shores of Palestine - the Alamo of the crusades.
