Serial Saturday Updates At Last!
I really didn’t mean to leave it this long, folks. On the flip side of that coin, I could have easily left it another month. I cannot believe how tired I STILL am, more than a month after the surgery (which went very well, let me repeat, and I have every expectation that this improvement will continue!). I’m not sleeping more than usual; it’s not that kind of tired. It’s more like the Sims, when you have a cheap bed and just kind of slump around with an orange plumbob above your head, groaning and complaining and drinking coffee. It’s not really a serious issue, is what I think I’m saying. More of a moodlet.
Anyway, I had every intention of letting this week’s update slide, because I know you all will wait for it…and this is a good place to say a giant thank you to all of you. I’ve had nothing but well-wishing and positive vibes, not a single even slightly negative jab at when the next chapter/book is coming, and statistically speaking, that’s amazing. So I knew I could wait on it, but I also wanted to show my appreciation for all your patience, so I kind of brute-forced my way through this fog that’s settled on my brain. It’s a long chapter, like…L O N G…but I really couldn’t do anything about that. Which is to say, I tried to see where I could split it in half, but at this point, my plumbob is bright red and all I managed to do was stare at the document and then wonder what I was doing and eventually, I wandered off and made toast. I figure my readers would forgive my excesses. Heck, it’s not the longest chapter I’ve ever written (it’s a little sad that that’s true).
So here we go, the next mega-chapter of my FNAF fanfiction, Everything Is All Right, Part IV: New Faces, Old Bones. You can find it at archiveofourown.org or fanfiction.net, whichever platform you prefer. And here’s an appetizer! Let’s hope the main course is meaty enough to keep you full for a while, because I can’t promise to be back on schedule yet. But I’m trying.
