Now I’ve been meaning to write this blog post for ages now but I couldn’t seem to find the right words to describe how I was feeling. Having my debut poetry book ‘A Piece of my Heart’ published in September was a dream come true. It’s every writers dream to one day have a published book in their hands and I’m pretty sure every writer will agree. It was in the making for about a year and a half and although I was a little hesitant to know what everyone thought of my poetry, I feel it’s there’s great capacity in the literature world for good writing.

My poetry is real literature, with the themes of love, friendship, hope, women, inspiration, soulmates and INDIA! I’ve taken inspiration from my royal ancestors. Yes guys, I’m royalty and it’s no lie. Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal are the core of my book of love, thriving heavily on our Asian culture. And if you’ve seen the book cover you’ll know it’s that ultimate love at first sight, I mean what’s not to love about our culture and the fact we obsess (quite literally) on finding the ‘one’. And of course I’ve dedicated my book to my grandparents who have given me such a beautiful heritage, which I’m utterly proud of.
