Book Review: Dan Dare, Volume 1: He Who Dares

Dan Dare, Vol. 1: He Who Dares Dan Dare, Vol. 1: He Who Dares by Peter Milligan

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

The focus of this book is that Dan Dare's archenemy, the Mekon has been captured and claims he's trying to reform and so he sits around growing plants and on occasion offers some advice to Dare.

If you've never read/heard of Dan Dare, this story is as boring as watching paint dry. If you have read Dan Dare or heard the audio adventures, than this book fails to capture the excitement of the original and isn't what people want when they read a Dan Dare book. Titan's reprinting the original books and honestly, it would be better to read those instead.
