Reality shows. Dec. 27

I always wondered about reality shows. Do those people on the screen truly represent what they claim to be on TV? I mean, when the lights go down and the cameramen leave for the day, does something switch inside of them and they go from nice to mean? Or vise versa? Are they just playing a role for the cameras? And how will we ever know who they truly are?

We can only judge by what we see and what we hear. But that's not the entire truth.

I want to bring up a point: The true you is how you act "when the cameras aren't looking."

That celebrity-version of you. You know, the one you put on at work when you have to deal with customers or guests with exemplary customer service. Or the role you play at social events when you pretend around people that you are the best host or the most organized leader at functions and meetings. You come in through the door with your best foot forward and your plastered smile on and you become a different version of you "on stage."

But when you are at home and the make-up is off, the designer shoes are on the floor, the straight hair you took hours to flat-iron now twirled in a bun...what you do then, what you say then, how you act then is the authentic you.

I would advise to be as authentic to your public life as you are with your personal life. You don't want to be living a double-life. That's when people realize the fake-ness and...well, turn the channel.

Be authentically you and be the best version of you whether you are on the sidelines of life or in front of the spotlight. You are still valuable, you are still worthy and you are still beautiful whether you are on the stage or off the stage. Always remember that!

If you need prayer for anything, let me know. I would love to pray for you.
