Eva’s Byte #328 – Frame of Mind
In the right frame of mind for preparing to move in the not-too-distant future, I’m still purging and paring down my material possessions.
This week I dealt with a wealth of photos amassed over the years. The kind taken when a camera had a roll of film inside, which one took to be developed after the 20th click—whenever.
I enjoyed thumbing through each envelope which entailed a time capsule of memories. One, in particular, stood out: a stunning photo of my mother taken during the summer of 1984.
Having also rounded up several unused picture frames to donate, I reclaimed a ceramic frame embellished with a rose to display this photo of my mother at the age of 54. She celebrates her 91st birthday on August 18th.
In my capacity as a writer, I’m approaching the finish line of my Contemporary, winding down Chapter 82, which is currently at 964 words. With an epilogue ahead of me, rounds of editing to do, a blurb to write, and foraging for a cover photo for my designer to work with—I can’t pinpoint a time frame to publish it. Since I progress at the speed of a snail, there’s no justification for me to rush production.
*May each of us adhere to our own time frame for doing things, cultivating memories along the way.
My sincere appreciation if you’ve read this far.
