Rant & Rave Review of A Measure of Serenity
Another review of A Measure of Serenity is in. Here’s what Rant & Rave book blogger Dana Flanders had to say:
"An excellent read; I flew through this book! The novel takes a lot of classic sci-fi elements and uses them to create a rich plot and dynamic characters. Serenity, the main character, is neurodivergent. Her growth throughout the book is evident and relatable. The events of the book embody the statement "man makes plans, and God (or in this case, the Feds) laughs." One of the things that I, personally, enjoyed about the book is that both the original plans made by the main characters, and the modifications made up on the fly, were equally interesting and engaging. In terms of the author's voice, the book is well written and easy to follow- perfect for the YA age group. I would warn that there are some graphic depictions of war, which might not be appropriate for preteens and younger teens. Without spoilers, I think the ending is perfect for the book. Overall, a great modern sci-fi book."
