I felt like I was punched in the gut… and I felt mad and maybe a little betrayed.

I have a few Authors I absolutely love and respect, reading all their books only to realize that they did not write their own books; they hired someone else to write the pages for them.

Maybe I was naive. I mean, these Authors were cranking out books very fast! Maybe this is how the literary world works and I need to “grow up” and face reality. But I lost respect for these writers...who claim to be "idea" men and nothing more. I look up to writers more than most, so this was a heavy reality to face.

I have 5-pages worth of just story ideas! The thought crossed my mind. Maybe I should hire a ghostwriter and get more books with my name on it out there. Someone else could write my stories and I could rest my pen for a while. It could bring in more money, more notoriety, more...wait. Let me not get caught up in this!

Both me and my husband are writers, so we take this profession very seriously. We understand the grueling process it takes to get to a place of literary perfection and success. And I am adamant on making sure my books that have my name on it is indeed a Sunshine-original!

I want you to know, that when you look behind the curtain of my business, it's me operating the board. Nothing is an illusion with me; I'm not trying to fool anyone. It means a lot to me when I can inspire other writers, because this calling is very true to my heart and I need to stay 100% authentic in the process!
