An Unexpected Kiss
Hello All! It’s been a wild couple of months but here’s a hot kiss scene from my WIP. I hope you enjoy!
An Unexpected KissStill, she turned and glared up at him. “Put. Me. Down.”
“No.” He continued walking straight out of the tent and into the still dark night. The waning moon hung low in the sky, barely illuminating the path between the tents. Still Dan walked with a confidence in each step, assured of each foot placement even though he could not see much.
Her heart beating to fast, she began wriggling in his arms. “I. said. Let. Me. Go.”
But he only tightened his hold, his arms bands of steal around her. Then his left hand shifted, suddenly cupping her very plump breast.
Heat stole over her chest as she gasped at the intrusion.
“Dan. Please,” She begged, feeling moments away from crying. It was all to confusing and she wanted to hide back in her queen’s clothes, to have the armor of her title protecting her from being vulnerable with a man.
His nostrils flared as he stared down at her. Emma felt as if she was drowning, surrounded in his intoxicating musky scent, his long blonde beard within touching distance. She gasped for breath, her body flushing.
“Please.” She repeated.
The mountain of a man only stared at her, his feet hesitating. Taking strength in the moment, she quickly added. “Just let me go. I will return to my tent.” Her eyes watered with her desperation. “Please…”
His gaze dropped to her lips, then further down, his shoulders bulging with muscle. But rather than put her down, he asked her in a low voice, “Are you married?”
Blinking several times, she opened and closed her mouth.
When no answer came, he asked again, his gaze meeting hers as he leaned down, towards her, his beard just barely touching her chin.
Burning up, she pursed her lips as she tried to form a coherent sentence. “I-what-no-I’m fat!”
His gaze never wavered as he waited for his answer. “I-I-“ she stuttered, leaning back as she shook her head. “I-No, no I’m not married. But I want to be re-“
His lips crashed down over hers, their heat burning through her lips, as tingles flashed down her arms and her core tightened.
Oh.
As fast is it had started, it ended. She stared up at him, wide eyed, barely noticing the sway of his fast steps eating up the ground. His jaw was tight, his eyes burning with a fire as he glared out at the night.
Emma’s hand slid up to her lips, her fingertips sliding across the soft skin. For a first kiss, it had been filled with heat and fire. Unexpected.
