So, my husband got invited for a special Event at the Grand Opening of
a restaurant. Because he was part of the Media Team, we could order
food for free. And we received a personalized Swag Bag that consisted
of a thermos, a soda cozy and cookies. We sat at a table next to another Media personnel and we were all excited to try the food. I noticed though that the table next to us had an even more intricate Swag Bag, much better than ours, with a t-shirt and other cool accessories. And I started to get jealous until God reminded me of several verses:

1 Corinthians 13:4: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Philippians 2:3: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,


Psalms 37:3: Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

I was reminded right then to be content with my personalized victory!
