Another year passes — my tenth on Goodreads, incidentally — and another annual wrap-up manifests itself. Best I get to it, before the night's festivities begin. I'll try to keep this one brief.
As usual, I edited the
Spring,
Summer, and
Fall issues of HST Quarterly. I've been slacking, I'm afraid, and so the Winter issue will have to wait. I guess the nice thing about being your own boss is that there really aren't any deadlines.
Outside of publishing, this year was largely spent on the road, wintering in my van down south before heading up to Michigan for the Summer and finally returning to Utah in time for Fall. From Austin to New Orleans to Savannah, I stayed south of the Mason-Dixon for as long as I could stand it, and then, once the heat began to rise, I found my reprieve in the relative coolness of the upper Midwest. Now that I'm back on the other side of the Rockies, it's just been nice being under an actual roof for a change. Life could be worse I suppose.
Well, that's about all I really wanted to say. Here's wishing you all a Happy New Year!
