Some people suggest that thoughts are prayers. Maybe we could make sure what we’re praying for is good.
Action:
Feel all your feelings. Repressing thoughts of jealousy, envy, or bitterness doesn’t help. It makes you dishonest and passive-aggressive. Perhaps you are pretending to like someone, but you think they’re a jerk. As soon as possible after identifying your feelings, begin practicing goodwill. Force it, fake it if you must. Deliberately think positive thoughts toward whomever you just wished ill.
