Today in the Comics Room. This is our second day of brush and ink. Today we are playing with gray tones. I’m in heaven when I see this work, each line evidence of a hand in motion using a stick with hair attached dipped in what is basically some variation of soot in watered-down saliva, which is a long way of saying our relationship to making ink and brush pictures is very old. Here is evidence of how hands moved paint brush and ink during today’s Making Comics 1 class. @uwmadison @uw_artdept
