Helen Excellent! Offers an intimate view into how stories are created from seemingly random encounters with objects or people.

Machiavelli Thanks for sharing. A great story. I’ve shared with friends who are also Percy Jackson fans… would be fun to have you as a tour guide at the Met…

Keressa Jones Thank you for sharing this beautiful article!

Jessica Pan The article is really touching, I always love hearing about how Percy Jackson (in part) came from helping your son. I discovered I had ADHD in high school, and I think having read Percy Jackson made learning that much easier.

Asia That’s so cool! I loved reading about how the story all started and how you came up with it!

Ava Mae This is really really cool. Very eye-opening and amazing how things perceived as small can turn into something huge.

Eileen Everly what an incredible origin story!! thank you so much for sharing that with us. it really resonates with me, for so many reasons. as a mother of two teen girls who adore your books and relate to them fiercely but in different ways, i am so grateful. as a pediatrician who recommends your books to so many patients who struggle with ADHD, dyslexia, feeling "other", i am so lucky to have you to inspire these kids. thank you so so much.

Xdnegative This is beautiful, Rick. I’ve been to the Met several times for Egyptian, Greek and Roman art sights. I kinda understand and am glad you gave us this insight!!
