Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption hooked me instantly back in 1982. It's one of those tales that stayed with me in the supermarket aisles, at my aerobics class, and while on walks. I revisited the pages time and time again, savoring King's ability to capture the thin gasps of hope when being suffocated by complete hopelessness. My family knows if "The Shawshank Redemption" is on cable (and isn't it quite often?) I have to sit a bit with the characters.
Frank Mueller is the best and so glad his work lives on.
