If you are a US citizen and you haven’t already, you need to go vote. I do my very best to stay out of politics, to appear “impartial”, to give you a safe space to just read and escape from the world. My job is not to be political.

However, tomorrow morning I do not want anything on my conscience. I don’t want to wake up and for there to be any way to say I didn’t do EVERYTHING in my power to save this country from sleepwalking into autocracy.

I will not be the person who kept their mouth closed while Nazi Germany formed around them. (And if you think that’s an exaggeration and that Trump isn’t Hitler, you’re right, Trump isn’t Hitler… Hitler wasn’t 78 with dementia. Who knows if it would have been “better or worse” for Hitler to be a 78 year old man with dementia. Let’s not find out, how about it?)

Maybe you aren’t into politics, but my dear cupcakes, politics is into you. We will all live with the consequences of this election. Your vote MATTERS. Do not sit this one out. I expect many people will unsubscribe from me after this email. And that’s okay.

Look, if you’ve voted for Trump in the past, and maybe even consider voting for him now, know that I am in DEEP RED Trump country. I live next to people with Trump signs on their yard. Many of my family members who I love voted for Trump. I don’t think these people are evil racists and haters of women. I think they’re DEEPLY misguided and uninformed.

The “the democrats are evil” schtick, didn’t start with Trump. He took advantage of a division that was already there. I was raised on Fundamentalist conservative Christianity and “GOP Jesus”. But Jesus said to feed the poor and to welcome in the stranger. There is NOTHING reflective of Jesus on the right, so while I no longer share that religion anymore, if you do, please do not hide behind Jesus because there is no Jesus in Trumpism/MAGA.

I realize there are people who think Kamala is somehow “the devil” and “the most radical leftist ever.” Kamala Harris is center right. She is a capitalist and a gun owner. You are being lied to. I will never understand why people wont’ just READ.

If you think she’s just lying about everything… Trump lies and plays IN YOUR FACE.

Saying “that’s just Trump being Trump” and making a million excuses for his insane behavior, and then needing an entire conspiracy theory to make a normal human being look like the greatest evil in the world… well… if that’s you, I know i can’t reach you, and I’m not trying to. I’m trying to reach people who can be reasoned with or who perhaps don’t for whatever reason understand all the things at stake in this election.

Again, if you hate me after today, oh well, but you have to understand that i LOVE my country and I do not want it to go down in flames because some people sat at home and some other people for whatever set of reasons have consistently ignored the endless insane things Trump does and says.

I would rather die in a ditch with freedom, than continue to have all the same number of readers in a theocracy. Even if you are a Christian, BELIEVE ME when I tell you, you do not want a theocracy. Google Project 2025. It is real. Trump pretends he doesn’t know what it is, he’s lying. Nearly everyone involved in it was in Trump’s last administration and JD Vance wrote the forward for the book about it written by the architect of it. You are smarter than this!

I’ve known about project 2025 for nearly 2 years now and I was terrified and beyond freaked out that NOBODY was talking about it. I was afraid nobody WOULD talk about it, so don’t tell me it’s not real. Get out of your denial and go vote.

If you are “insulted” by this email, unsubscribe and hate me, I don’t care. I WILL fight for my country. I will stand up for what is right. It is NOT right that women even with WANTED babies are dying in parking lots from these draconian and frankly HUMILIATING abortion laws.

Imagine screaming in pain and a doctor refuses to treat you because he values the dead or dying fetus inside you more than YOUR life and YOUR wellbeing and YOUR right not to suffer needlessly for someone else’s religious belief of the soul. And if you can’t imagine that. Imagine your DAUGHTER or your granddaughter or your sister or your mother screaming in pain and a doctor refusing to treat her because he fears he could go to prison because POLITICIANS do not understand medicine. Period.

For the anti-abortion folks, this is a RELIGIOUS issue. It is someone’s belief not of the value of “human life” but when the soul enters the body (and even that there is a soul to begin with.) Well, I believe in reincarnation, so abortion is literally just telling a soul… “take the next bus, buddy, we don’t have a vehicle for you here.”

But even if you believe from the very DEPTHS of your soul that it’s murder… why do you have the right to legislate your unprovable spiritual beliefs on to all women? And their families?

Will you look into the eyes of the man who lost his wife, the mother who lost her daughter, the child who lost her mother… YES women with actual living children have pregnancies that go wrong, and sometimes they just can’t afford another damn child, so they get an elective abortion. But the REASON this happens is not your business. It’s just not. It is 100% fine if you believe it’s wrong… in that case… don’t do it. Great. I support you in that decision.

If Trump is elected, the birth rate will collapse even further, because unlike men, and the deeply sheltered female Trump supporters, MOST women understand just how dangerous pregnancy is, and with these draconian laws that it just will not be safe to be pregnant in this nation, and women will move accordingly.

I could go on for pages and pages about why there is only one choice in this election if we want to stay a free nation tomorrow and the day after that, but I ask you sincerely, to please PLEASE for the love of god, get off the couch and Vote. and if you are in Texas, VOTE… The only reason Texas won’t go blue is if Texans don’t vote. If everyone leaning toward Kamala in Texas would actually go vote, the state would turn blue. The numbers are there. It was only lost by 5.56% in 2020. Ted Cruz only won his last election (in a midterm year where democrats don’t show up as much) by 2.6%, and Colin Allred is the Texas Obama… so… seriously… you can AT LEAST get rid of Ted Cruz.

And to my female readers… remember, your vote is private. If you live with a rage-filled MAGA person he does not have to know who you voted for and he cannot find out who you voted for. Women are over half of this country, and we vote in far bigger numbers. We should be running the world.

Make it so, ladies!
