I grew up in the foothills of the Sierra-Nevada Mountains. As a kid I didn't appreciate the beauty of the area but I certainly do as an adult. I have family and friends still there and visit occasionally. I moved away when I was 18, bounced around the country a bit before settling in Oregon where my handsome husband and I raised our two wonderful kids.
