Since Waves of Temptation came out earlier this month, I’ve had a few messages from long-time readers—some kind, some critical, all appreciated.

One reader said he preferred faster, simpler tales with sex right from the first page. Another stopped reading partway through because of what he interpreted as male/male content—specifically, a scene in which the husband is trimmed “down there” by his wife’s future lover. Just to clarify for anyone curious: there’s no intimacy between the men, no sex, and no bisexual storyline. The scene is about grooming, with all the tension, embarrassment, and curiosity that can arise when one man handles another in such an intimate context—even with the wife watching. It’s very much grounded in the husband’s point of view and his own psychological processing.

On the other hand, Waves has also received some of the most thoughtful and generous reviews I’ve had to date. One reader called it “a masterclass in erotic tension.” Another described it as “my favourite Alex Lee book.” And long-time reader John Lester posted a five-star Amazon review praising the emotional depth and realism, calling it “not just sex without thought”—exactly the balance I was aiming for.

The truth is, Waves is the story I most wanted to tell: a slow-burning, emotionally charged journey about curiosity, hesitation, and trust. It’s not built for shock value, and there’s no instant transformation. Instead, it’s a story for readers who crave realism and depth in their erotica—who want to believe a couple could actually experience this, struggle through it, and grow stronger from it.
