Giving tasters!

When I first started writing ‘A Woman’s Lust’, I was expecting each book to be fairly small, say ten thousand or so words. This didn’t turn out to be the case. The third novel, ‘Temptation’, was over fifty-five thousand words, just shy of the industry standard word count of sixty thousand. Future books will around the same length, or possibly longer.

As a newcomer in a busy genre, I was worried that no-one would ever see my stories, so for the first two books, ‘Discovery’ and ‘Holiday’, I made several chapters free as standalone books. I felt this would give the readers a taste of writing. It did, and while the writing generally praised, one recurring theme in the feedback was that people wanted self contained stories, not glimpses of something bigger. They liked to get involved in the characters, to get to know them and understand what makes them tick.

Because of this, in the next few weeks I’m going to make one of those three books available for free, I just need to determine which one. I’d love to hear which of the three ‘A Woman’s Lust’ books is your favourite, and whether you thought the individual chapters were enjoyable as standalone stories!
